Tour United Wire Technologies
The Cleveland Historical Society’s first program for the 2014 season will be a field trip to Constantia to tour the new facility of United Wire Technologies. This company is a three generation family business that had been located on the Main Street of Cleveland for decades. The building was destroyed by fire in 2012 but the fire did not destroy the business or the spirit of the family to rebuild. The Ransom family was able to purchase a large empty building on Rt. 49 in the Town of Constantia, which they were able to turn it into a large, modern facility to produce specialty wires.
This will be a very interesting tour and the Cleveland Historical Society wants to thank Jim Ransom for opening his business and being the tour guide. This event is free and open to the public. The address is1804 St. Rt. 49, Constantia, time is 7:00, Thursday, May 15th. The building is located on the north side of Rt. 49, there is plenty of parking. Any questions, contact us.
