Another beautiful summer day for the Cleveland Historical Society to host their annual open house and ice cream social. Ice cream and toppings were offered to visitors at no charge.
Inside the friendship house, this year’s focus was on the Cleveland school. Kathy Darrow had a nice compilation of pictures and articles associated with the school throughout the years. Visitors sat around the table in the friendship house taking in the information and pictures available to the public.
At 2:00pm, Gary Comins presented a PowerPoint overview of the society’s web presence, followed by a live demonstration.
Also on display in the Friendship House was the newly acquired Grayce Harding Wise collection. Several art works depicting landmark buildings from the area have found a new home, after residing in the former Cleveland Elementary School.
Thanks to all who attended and to the society members who helped make the event a success.
