  1. Family in box 27. I stumbled on a book ” Berkshire Glass Works” and in the Appendix # II appears The Residents of Berkshire Village. Listed as residents and working at Berkshire Glass Works in 1880 is a fellow named Jasper Sh ?. Yes with a question mark. He is a Glassblower and he comes from England as his origin. He is married and his wife is named Louisa. Listed with his wife are three children. Genneta, Jasper Jr. and Lottia. That’s just more than a coincidence, don’t you think? I can still follow this more through other records, but wow I think I got them. I guess I got to sign up for ancestry.com or something to speed thins along. Everything fits except Genneta. I know the rest of them personally.

    1. Actually Keith, I think you’re doing a great job. Regardless of the number of services you subscribe to, research takes a lot of time. However, I think you have the right idea. Start with all the bits and pieces you know or have been told and then start to build from there. Even with an Ancestry account, a search on Schmidt would probably have not come up with this reference.

  2. Find a Grave came up with Gennetta. Jeanette M Schmidt Senecal. Born 1876. Died June 23,1945. Buried at St Mary’s in Cleveland. Even gives the family links.
